my holiday

the picture is from when i arrived at Kuantan and looking for a hotel.
let's start from the beginning though...
i and my parents left Singapore on the 20th of November.
we reached Johor Bahru, Larkin at about 9a.m.
a guy introduced us to a bus bound for Kota Bahru(-_-lll), and assured us that it would drop us of at Kuantan.
that bus service was called Transnasional and it was Rm32 fro an adult ticket.
it set off a few minutes later.
on the way, i saw12 cows, more than 20 chickens, more than 30 storks and maybe an eagle.
we stopped for lunch on the way at a nice restaurant, and we ate some random spicy meat and spicy vegetables with rice.
i slept for approximately 10 minutes during the 5hr 30 min journey.
we were dropped off at a Kuantan roadside.
we asked 4 people where Jalan Besar was.
as you can see from the picture, we were not there yet then.
-------------------------------------------------------------

nice, ain't it.
it is the sultan mosque of Kuantan.
at this point, we STILL hadn't reached Jalan Besar.
Jalan Besar is a kind of business street, like Orchard Road in Singapore here.
the sultan mosque is facing a2 football fields which were full of puddles at the time(it had just rained).
then we walked around and asked someone else who directed us to our hotel, the Mega View.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
well, this is the view from our room, 401.
when we reached Jalan Besar, we went to the sales and administration office of the Mega View hotel.
that was my dad's idea, he thought it would give us a room. (-_-lll)
and the people in the office directed us to the hotel, which was on the right of Jalan Besar.
it was quite large and had 10 storeys.
4 were for reception, dining, meeting and a ballroom.
our room was on the fifth floor but as in Malaysia, the 1st storey is either the ground floor or the zeroth floor, so it was floor number 4.
we had a family room with 1 queen sized bed and a normal bed.
we thought that we would only be living in a very lousy budget hotel, but thank god for Mega View hotel.
it's only Rm165 per night and it has aircon, television, and a bathroom!
yay!
